Vivo V29 Lite 5G Gears Up for Launch, GCF Certification Confirms Key Specs

Vivo, a leading smartphone brand, is reportedly working on its V29 series of smartphones. The lineup includes the Vivo V29 Lite, Vivo V29, and Vivo V29 Pro. The Vivo V29 Lite 5G, an affordable 5G smartphone, is expected to be the first model to debut in the market. The phone, with the model number V2244, has been spotted on the Google Play Console and received approval from the Global Certification Forum (GCF), indicating an imminent launch.

The V29 Lite 5G is expected to feature a waterdrop notch on a Full HD+ display, which might be equipped with an AMOLED panel integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The phone is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset with an Adreno 619 GPU, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. It will run on Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13 on top.

While the camera sensor details are currently under wraps, the V29 Lite 5G might feature a triple camera setup on the back. The smartphone is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 44W rapid charging support.

In related news, Vivo has launched the Vivo Y78+ 5G mid-range phone in China. This Y-series phone comes with a curved-edge OLED screen, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras with OIS support, a Snapdragon 695 chipset, and 44W fast charging.

As of now, Vivo has not confirmed any details about the V29 Lite’s launch in India. However, considering the Vivo V27 5G is priced under Rs 30,000, the V29 Lite 5G might launch for around or less than Rs 25,000 in India. The device is likely to launch soon in various markets, but its availability in India remains unconfirmed at this time.
